DartDirect API
DartDirect is a RESTful API (Representational State Transfer) licensed web service for the submission and processing of ocean tariff rate data as mandated by the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) in the JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) data format and published in the Carrier’s full tariff hosted by Dart Maritime Service. Common Carriers registered with the FMC and serving the U.S. foreign trade that have significant monthly tariff filing volumes could realize exceptional savings in time, tariff publishing expenses and staffing resources by reducing redundancy, increasing efficiency and potentially netting thousands of dollars in annual cost savings while retaining the regulatory oversight and support of DMS professionals.
To utilize DartDirect, customers would use an in-house software client to access the API endpoint with authentication handled by static bearer token, a summary of which is illustrated below:
